Hi again this is the anon who does not relate to fictional characters! I have recently learned my wife thinks young Al Pacino is 'cute' so i am adding Dog Day Afternoon (1975) and Scarface (1983) to the movie watch list to see how ya boy does.
Is there anything that you personally think would be funny for me to go into the movie knowing, or something I could psy-op my wife with?
Genuine film production trivia or any cool facts u wanna share would also be fun! Since u wrote directed produced etc etc these Films. Obviously.
OOOH okay my favorite fact about the production of DDA is that the entire first day of filming had to be scrapped because pacino grew a moustache to "look more gay" and everything thought it looked Just Awful. id love to see pictures of the stache cut soooo bad but i dont think any exist (i can just look at pictures from serpico and pretend, though ♥)
for scarface, pacinos accent made me cringe pretty hard the first time i watched because well. hes a white boy from the bronx BUT apparently he worked really close with actual cubans during the filming to make sure his accent was as accurate as he could make it and apparently its pretty damn good! which makes rewatches significantly more bearable
also both movies are x500 more fun to watch believing that theyre both transsexuals. like it just Makes Sense
