shy about responding publicly but saw your tweet about misskey and writing and stuff and if you're worried about the jp userbase culture there's also other instances that use misskey software and might be better for writing stuff, and misskey is fediverse so it can still follow/interact with stuff on misskey io etc
I’m not too sure about migrating instances for now as I’m just getting settled and idk if I’ll adopt Misskey for the foreseeable future, but I might consider it if I stumble upon any other instances which may be more friendly to writing! Just like with Twitter tho, essentially I just think it’s going to come down to cultivating an audience through hard work and dedication, as I’ve already had some reactions on my writing posts shared on Misskey! Basically I’m just gonna toy around a bit, maybe I’ll figure out I prefer Tumblr too…! I’m just really frustrated with tumblr’s text editor on mobile (and on PC to a degree, it’s p incredible that it’s still as garbage as it is, in the 12-13 years since I made my first Tumblr blog…).
