As an expat German I often find myself in need of true German bread. Though it is "only" a drive of 3 hours to go to Germany it is impossible to have good bread in Flanders. Not that they don't have bread here. They have. But it has neither the taste nor the texture nor the scent. Drama! You? Anything like that?

Yep, but with groceries. The chocolate roll cakes sold at the neighborhood grocery are bizarrely good for the price, the baker even put real, melted chocolate in them once. I miss that when going to larger supermarkets.
