thank you though friend im answering this insanely late so i have no idea what its in reference to but just know i dont try to contend with why popular ship dynamics are popular by having the end all be all of my argument be “dynamic preferences are actually All Bad” OR “dynamic preferences where there is GirlBoy Yaoi is Heteronormative and that is Bad”. at the end of the day those justifications are equally as stifling as a fandom consensus being “short sweet member is shortguybottom” and “tallguy is tallguybigcock tallguytop”. instead of concluding with “thus, GirlBoy in Gay Ships are Bad” i like to go with “if you dont like the popular stuff actually youre really genius and actually cooler than many other people” //////LH
