Ik Gojo was raised with more traditional values and doesn't really show it but sometimes I think it'd unconsciously pop out at times and it'd be a huge source of arguments between stsg, your childhood can find a way of haunting you sometimes yk. Like geto was raised in the countryside he'd obviously have a lot more exposure to traditional values there and i think he was very sick of it judging by how easily he left and the anger that was invoked in him when he saw miminana for the first time (I've always thought it was equal part breaking point as it was trauma response). I think gojo can be demeaning sometimes and he'd probably say something that would unknowingly strike several nerves in suguru. Like "Oh you're very feminine looking for a guy" or smth and it'd bring forth insecurities in suguru he thought he wouldn't remember when he moved to the city yk. And when confronted gojo would sort of lean back to his upbringing like "why are you being such a bitch" yk. Ik alot of people say gojo changed from his childhood to when he met suguru but I think beliefs that have been installed in you since birth can't just vanish overnight. I think they remain there and the people close to you become the exception to the rule and when you're reminded that there can't be exceptions your easiest option is to avoid. I've always thought gojo would have terrible internalized homophobia bc of this

everything you said, i agree with anon! and the internalized homophobia part too, ive always thought gojo had to work through LOADS of issues within him before he came to truly accept the love he had for suguru. and i feel by the time he did, it was already too late
