ive loved them for as long as i can remember! which is saying a lot since i grew up watching naruto lol i couldnt tell you what made me like them, but i can tell you what i love about them now, which is their mutual unconditional trust, loyalty and love. the fact that they both stuck around for the other's darkest moments (especially gai who never gave up on kakashi when he isolated himself and pushed everyone away). AND they get a canonical happy ending together!!! i love whump and abuse and torture, but sometimes you deserve a soft epilogue and they are it 😊
