First of all thank you so much for asking anon because now I'm gonna write paragraphs on it.

So, surprisingly the journey of becoming a gofushi certified girlie is quite simple but at the same time very complicated lol.

I was one of those fans who used to see gojo and megumi as "father figure-son" before. when i first started manga i always KNEW their relationship was special in some way or the other and at the beginning I always deemed Megumi as Gojo's fav student however with popular belief in the fandom it influenced me too and i called Megumi Gojo's son etc.

However even as a non-shipper back then I was aware people shipped Gojo and Megumi together and i didn't had any issues with it.

Months ago i made a gojo-megumi headcanons thread on father's day, it was a very wholesome thread full of stuff like how gojo raised megumi etc etc but some people still accused me of shipping them when back then i didn't really shipped them at all.

This happened quite often because the way I talked abt both of them so often they kept accusing me of it.

One day while doomscrolling i read a long thread abt gofushi (i WISH I had bookmarked it, but i didn't) and it somehow awoken a sleeping beast inside me.

It was like a switch flipped on inside my brain as I searched up the ship name and looked through the fanarts 🤌🏼 talented artists we've got btw.

Then i legit scrolled through the entirety of @/hourlygofushi account and read their interpretation of the ship and i switched from SatoSugu to Gofushi in the span of 1-2 hours.

It was just like that. Simple but also so complicated when you think about it because i had an entirely different idea abt their relationship.

Also the accusations on me being a gfsh shipper kinda ended up like —" i will become the monster, you so desperately wants me to be".

Life has never been BETTER ever since i switched to Gofushi. The art is better, the fandom environment is better, other shippers are so kind.

Back in stsg fandom I never really felt free enough to share my thoughts and love for the ship for several reasons that included the fact that the shippers were so many in number (the fandom is overpopulated) not to mention just how terrible they used to be with me even before I started shipping this "illegal" ship.

Gofushi fandom environment is simply better because we are smaller in number (as compared to insufferable lot) . I feel so free while loving gofushi and before falling in love with GoFushi I had NEVER bought any merch in pair but now I have so many gojo-megumi merch in pair.

Simply speaking no ship has ever gotten a hold on me the way gofushi has. I've never been so passionate abt any pairing as much as 524 and I feel like this love i have for gfsh is something I'll take with me to my grave.
