"do you write for yourself, others, or both?"

well ngl at the beginning of my goregrief journey i definitely wrote for others in the sense that it kind of became like. instant gratification/a huge rush of dopamine to post a new fic and wake up the next morning to see all the kudos, bookmarks, hits and esp the comments. compliments on my ability in any sense will always hit harder than crack cocaine. i honestly got hyperfixated on writing in that sense for a couple of months lol and now i just kinda write for myself. i can't say i don't consider my audience at all in writing (and if anyone does say that they're lying) but i mostly just dgaf and write what i think is interesting and fun and enjoyable for me to write!
