Omg i read your tweet and had a flashback to when my mom found and read some of my fic and she was like the writing was good. And I was like !!!! It definitely had smut in it… def one of the most embarrassing moments of my life
omg yeah!!!! this seems to be a more common thing than i thought. rip to us.
yeah my mom wouldn't care about reading smut ive written. she did the "sex positive parenting" thing before it was even a thing, and she respects my sexuality and wouldn't judge or be weirded out by anything she found in my fic. tbh my concern is more her reading anything i've written, regardless of how explicit it is, bc im very self-conscious; and also the fear that she may have notes. my mom is someone who's read romance books since like 1979, and has had her own fanfiction journey. i simply wouldn't survive her critiquing the way i write smut.
