WAHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH!! i’m so happy you noticed all of these parallels — i love using fiction to explore different dynamics and situations and stories and also interpretations, but at the same time i also think their romance and their love is the most inspiring thing and always love incorporating these small moments that really make them and their relationship so unique and meaningful🥺
that repo about them forgetting each other stuck with me for SO LONGGGGGG they really are just two people who would do anything for each other and who are so devoted to each other above everything. you are also totally correct that it’s a hanbin fell first but hao fell harder situation (though you could also make the argument that hao’s falling was like six years in the making wjskdnsilh) and you knowwwww hanbin is still slightly in disbelief that his crush for so long is finally his.. which also makes potentially losing him now all the more painful……

they talk about this at the end of chapter four! i would say he got interested back in their first (technically his second) year when hanbin had no clue who he was and they spoke on that train ride after he helped hanbin find his wand. i think that’s what piqued hao’s interest, despite his own denials to himself and his steadfast belief that this confession would be no different than the rest, initially, and then hanbin won him over by doing exactly what he had done on the train: seeing him as no one else did, or at least seeing to the truth of him, beyond the rumors and his reputation and everything else that people seemed to want to be with him for. this is a pretty cobbled together summary haha but yes their conversation at the end of chapter four and then also perhaps their hogsmeade scene and astronomy tower scenes later on in hao’s pov will help shed light on how he sees hanbin!

dw i havent! but this is such a good question haha i committed early on to doing alternating pov chapters so have been trying to stick to that while moving the story forward — there hasn’t been a big scene where i really want to go back and rewrite in the other pov, but there have definitely been instances where i had been very very tempted to do another split pov chapter, one of them being the first task and another being when they discovered gyuvin. i originally had something different in mind for a confrontation with gideon, but bc that chapter was with hanbin, it made it a bit tricky!

i am, maybe surprisingly maybe not so surprisingly lol, not a very big planner. so while i have a general idea of scenes and moments i want to hit down the line sometimes chapters end up not including those or i feel compelled in the moment to add a bunch of other stuff i hadn’t previously intended depending on the pov and what i feel like the characters would do at the time ? if that makes sense! and especially with the haobin scenes i love writing in both their povs for them, so i haven’t specifically tried to save moments (yule ball, them getting together, their first kiss, etc) for specific povs and just added them into the chapters that felt right. however, as the story gets more intentional with the plot in the coming chapters, i do have a few scenes that i want to write in specifically either hao or hanbin’s povs, especially bc certain people and certain events (not to give too much away heh) would only happen to one of them!

aw thank you so much, i’m so happy that you enjoyed cupidland!! and omg yes you’re right it was implied! i actually had so many more plans for them that i didn’t end up including in the fic, like taerae going to live with matthew when he and hao moved to new york hehe i had wanted to include hints of that in when they both show up to hanbin’s house, alas the pacing never felt quite right for it so i ended up just adding them as a little moment at the end.

i don’t have any current plans to write something for them, but it’s also hard for me to work on multiple fics at a time haha so we’ll see where my muse takes me once i’m done with my current wip!! thank you so much for the love again♡
