reading sugar hiccup for the tenth time and as someone that struggles with depression and similar addiction issues, you portrayed everything so well. not only that, but the characters are incredible multilayered and markhyuck relationship is so so perfectly messy. just wanted to let you know that this fic was the reason i actually went to look for psychiatrist help, and that it changed my life in many many ways. thank you so so much for writing!! <3
wow, thank you so much for sharing this with me :') as a person that also struggles with depression and 50 billion other things i'm really glad that it resonated with you. even though everyone experiences depression and addiction differently, i really wanted it to be relatable in some way (for lack of a better term) and also respectful/not one-dimensional. that story is really special to me because i wrote it during a really tough time and even though it took a lot out of me, the response made it all worth it. i'm really honored and i'm so proud of you for getting help. sending you much love <3
