i would be so thankful if you did, but there's no pressure! as the person who wrote it, and consumes horror media on the regular, i didn't think it was scary. but comments let me know that it was unnerving, or it kept them up.

to answer your questions a little more thoroughly: detail of the woods is a very character/emotion driven type of fic. the first ~20k is actually a character study on jeongguk and how writing, and the things that come along with it, defines him as a person. the last ~30k is a sort of... quick burn (i would say slightly obsessive in hindsight) between him and taehyung. there's really only three scary parts, but they don't define the entire story. i guess i would say it's more "unnerving" than "real horror," but that could just be me speaking from my very biased point of view.

if you do give it a try, i hope you enjoy it! i think that fic is the most "me" fic that i have ever written or will ever write, so i always have to recommend it to people who want to get a taste of what i'm all about 💚
