hi! i’m asking genuinely here because i came across ur rs and tweets in different occasions about this topic and ofc feel free to ignore this
what do you mean when you say “top/bottom discourse in general and how it bleeds into how people treat the members irl” ? because from my understanding people in this space are writing stories and porn so how is the way sex is written any different from the different plot and character traits people give to mnsvng ? i mean rpf is already quite frowned upon in normal kpop fan spaces so ig i don’t get what the problem here is since it’s all made up anyways, people always have their own idea of how an idol is in their head, fanfic or not.
ofc i do agree that you have a right to complain on ur own account just like the other people did though it’s true that it makes the rpf/nsfw space kinda unbearable sometimes lmao even when i do believe that most people here are not serious when they tweet.
sorry if this is a bit convoluted english is not my first language
I mostly just meant how people will get this idea, for example, that minho is mean or cold or whatever and i’ll see that on sfw as well, or it will start as a sfw thing and then come on to rpf, and it’s just an ugly cycle of things going back and forth. I’ve seen this a lot with members being infantilized as well (not using an example bcs i’ve probably seen it for all of them). And I’m also talking about how people will take real moments of the members and twist them so it’s like “oh he’s doing this and this because of this” and I understand that this is a fictional space, but sometimes that line gets blurred if that makes sense? Because there is no true divide between sfw and nsfw and rpf, there are accounts that occupy all spaces, so things never stay purely in one of them.
my tweet really wasn’t serious at all, and I was making the same point that so many people are yelling at me for supposedly perpetuating 😭 I was just saying idc and that I don’t think other people should either. I think I could have worded that phrase differently, but the bottom line is idc, and I don’t think that sex positions are personality traits, so to say “oh this person can’t do this and this person can’t do this because of x, y, and z” is silly to me. Of course people can have preferences, and the only issue i’ve had, and have repeatedly stated, is when someone acts like their preference is “correct” and gets mad when other people don’t agree, to which I say: who cares, let’s just have fun and enjoy what we enjoy. I hope this answers your question? And again, I think I could have just phrased that better initially.
