how do you name your ocs!! where do you get their names from!
It's either a reference to something or just a name I randomly came up with that I thought would fit the image of the character I had in mind!
Here's a few examples of the one's that do mean something c:
Siena's last name "Sonai" is a mish mash of "son" meaning last and "ai" (which sounds like "ay") meaning moon both in turkish. So together it's "last moon" which is nod to a prophecy she's a part of.
Omg don't spare me! Tell me all about Amina with Arthur sonatine n the reason why it's specifically on such a shop! I have my lil assumption based on what I know about Amina but I would love to know the details!
I am so incredibly late omg-
The reason for the sculptures being iced based is actually for 2 reasons 1) Amia's hobby is to make small sculptures of things from ice so I thought it would be of interest to her and 2) The store itself makes sculptures of ice for its patrons because the western wizard that owns the store believes that while the sculpture may be fleeting what we truly cherish at the end of the day is the memories of the things we hold near and dear even if there is nothing physical left for us to behold. I feel like this is something that both Amia and Arthur can relate to.
two questions! if you had to choose a favorite outfit to wear for yourself which one would it be? and if you had to make a Sonatine event with your ocs who would you pick to be in that event with them+ what would the thematic be?
That's tricky... I'd love to try on a ton of their outfits (they all look fun to be in) but realistically speaking something I would actually wear would be something like Snow and White's b-day 2021 outfits! (most of that years birthday outfits seem like things that I'd actually like to try on lol)
As for an event I never really considered any before but here's a possible idea for Amia I put together after some thinking
Amia- With Arthur! They'd visit a special workshop in the northmost part of the West that belongs to a wizard specializing in sculpting things for people to remember their loved ones by, the only catch? It's made entirely out of ice! (Which has a reason for it too but let me spare you the read and keep this short skjhf)
CAN I PLEASE HEAR YOU TALK ABOUT NORTH RHAPSODY PLSSSSS
OF COURSE !!!
I mentioned this in one of my last asks but North Rhapsody is my favourite of the Rhapsody's because of the theme of remembering death and appreciating your loved ones in general.
It's interesting because right at the beginning of the story when you'd think it should be White angry about the festival taking place its Snow. For Snow this festival is more than just appreciating the dead and remembering the days bygone. For Snow, this is a way to atone (in a sense). Though for both twins they experience the meaning of this festival much differently.
I know Snow says that he's been keeping up with the festival as a means of thanks but I'm sure it wasn't always like that (hell I'm sure he still has other thoughts in mind while helping to hold it)
To me Snow sees it as a way to atone and apologize to White whilst likely being on the side of the living where he understands how difficult it is it live without your beloved. To be the only one left behind.
White even states that he would return every year home to Make Sure it was played out. But only started to show this much attention to the festival AFTER White's death.
Snow accusing White that the festival means nothing to him while in reality the festival means too much too personally is likely why White is able to look at their circumstances logically and is more eager to cancel it.
But White suggesting to cancel the festival here is-at the same time- like him refusing Snow's "apology" which is likely why it hurt him even more.
White even tells Akira while explaining what the festival is about that
the festival is what the living wish for for the dead.
Even the way White words this (and adding on that its even said outright by him later on) that at least in his eyes he is never asked if the he even Want such a festival to take place.
That being said that brings us to White's pov on the matter....
White sees this festival as multiple things but what more than a reminder of his own state of being. Snow is so adamant about this festival Because He's Dead. He Is Being Celebrated because he's no longer a part of the living. Everywhere he looks past the lanterns and the decor and the outfits everyone's adorned in he is constantly reminded of what has happened, of what is irreversible.
This festival as much as it does have its positive sides forces White to remember just what his place is in the world. A being that is simply around because his brother wills it so.
Between bradley, mithra, and owen, who do you think is the favorite "child" of the twins? Who is the most troublesome?
please tell us your favorite event from every event series
THIS TOOK A LOT OF THINKING BUT I THINK I PUT A PROPER LIST TOGETHER :>
Preludes -East Prelude: The way that there was so much at stake and all the Eastern wizards were thinking about each other (a̶n̶d̶ w̶e̶ g̶e̶t̶ t̶o̶ s̶e̶e̶ F̶a̶u̶s̶t̶ y̶e̶l̶l̶ a̶n̶d̶ t̶h̶r̶e̶a̶t̶e̶n̶ M̶i̶t̶h̶r̶a̶) AND the fact that when the northern wizards finally showed up they just made thing Worse. It's great, I like Central Prelude as second for similar reasons.
Etudes -East Etude: (Going strong with the East stories-) I was very tempted to go with South because the bgm and that one scene with Snow and Figaro at each others throats alone is enough to win me over but I positively Love East Etude. It's the first time we get a further glimpse at what transpired between Figaro and Faust and get to see Figaro's pov of things. And I just really like the idea of them going to help an old friend of theirs find peace too... there was so much Faust had to face just being there and it was amazing to think about while reading. (Bianca is also very high up on my favourite npc list so there's also that )
Ballads - Central Ballad: I think I've had a pretty solid pattern going on for my favourites so far and Central Ballad fits right in. Holding Arthur very gently in this one the poor boy... There are so many scenes that can be mentioned here I love how we get to hear about Arthur's childhood, see just how happy he is to be back where he considers home, just how genuinely terrified Oz is of Arthur finding out that what he loves so much had been destroyed, and then learn why Oz had to get rid of it in the first place... 🥹
Concertos- South Concerto: I feel like I keep going over similar points but Mitile trying his best to hold onto things he doesn't want to lose, doing his best to accomplish what he wishes with his own strength... And then there's the fact that the whole event was based around the idea of the students learning to say goodbye no matter how hard or heartbreaking it may be and I ;;
Rhapsody- NORTH RHAPSODY: Anyone that knows me would know why this is pretty self explanatory but 1) there is an entire festival around remembering the dead 2) White literally Fights Snow over doing it 3) There is an entire scene with White realizing how ironic it is that he is doing this festival and contemplating his existence all over again (The whole event is just great ;;)
Fantasia: - South Fantasia: I'm gonna try to not make this longer than it needs to be by just saying that almost all of East Etude's reasoning applies here.
what are your oc's favorite colors :o
UWAAAAA i read your thoughts on snow and white bgms and 🤧🤧🤧 oh my gooooood. I think one thing that GETS me about the bgms is the way that snow's starts off joyful and ends sad, but white's starts off sad and ends joyful. This way, no matter in what order you play the songs (whether snow first and then white or the other way around), the songs will always flow into each other, always becoming one half of a whole. Anyways i love them and i love your thoughts on them ♡♡♡
I don't have a question, i'm just thinking about how good snow and white look in black eyeshadow. Happened once in the halloween event and happened again in loveliner collab. I demand more black eyeshadow for them forever and ever
what inspirations you had for sola+luna? (especially for their clothes what fashion style you think you would fit them in?) and what do they think of oz and figaro and the way the twins raise them?
My first thought was "I want to design a pair of twins". My second thought was "Since the moon is already a huge plot point in the story, I should make them Sun and Moon themed" (hence their names).
Their clothes were designed to embrace their cute looks as children (since they realize at one point that as much as they despise their child forms, acting like an adorable, clueless kid makes most things a lot less troublesome to deal with) while still retaining their sun and moon theme.
A big factor in their overall design was just my curiosity to be honest "Everyone learned what they know from somebody at some point" and "Snow and White are the ones who are always looked at in blame of raising Figaro and Oz the way they did and in turn causing a lot of problems in history, but what if they weren't completely to blame?" and so, why not put together a pair of twins who had taught Snow and White? Teachers who played a great role in molding them into the people they are today.
(I also kinda just wanted them to be in Figaro and Oz's positions for once lol)
What do they think about the way Figaro and Oz were raised? Quite frankly they had little idea they even existed for a Very long time. They would keep tabs on Snow and White just enough to know that they were still alive and kicking...for the most part (I'm so sorry White-). When they do really find out about them is when they meet After Amia (their current student) is summoned as a sage's wizard and to be fair they genuinely don't care That much? What Snow and White do with their students is frankly none of their concern and considering that they're probably 90% of the reason Snow and White raised Figaro and Oz that way to begin with their methods are likely things they themselves practice and naturally quite normal to them.
(This turned out a lot longer than I thought skghk my apologies I just like talking about my wizards children)
What's your favorite outfits for the twins?
Ooo this is difficult lol I'll name a few for both of them (all of them are SSR outfits since if I had to go through all of them I think I'd be here all day-)
Snow: Central Rhapsody, The one outfit where they went to a school and look like students, Lago event
White: Stellato (I'm biased I love the evet and the outfits are very me themed lol), Christmas, 3rd Anniversary
Who’s your favourite npc :0c
It's hard to pin it down to just one but if I had to I'd have to go back to the Etudes. I know we've never seen her or really heard much about her but I really love Bianca. I can just imagine her days in the revolutionary army doing her best to help Faust and everyone and the fact that she met such a tragic fate just stuck with me.
Do you have any thoughts/headcanons about the magical lineage/knowledge passed from master to student and how the Twins magical quirks may have (or not) manifested in Faust and Arthur? The Twins taught Oz and Figaro, who in turn took on Arthur and Faust so I wonder sometimes if there's anything Faust does that magically originated from White or something along those lines!!
(Getting to this one late too my apologies ;;) About the question though, I don't think twins can be separated since their skills and mannerisms can be counted as one in the same especially back when they were living with Figaro and Oz. But regardless, I don't think there's a lot that stems from them specifically. I think rather those two probably carry more knowledge and traits passed down from Figaro and Oz themselves.
For example, (I know its probably a given but) Arthur is well suited in offensive magic which we can link to Oz since he too (like the true northerner he is) is proficient in offensive magic.
(giving you a hug) hiii friend tell me what pokemon your ocs would have or what types they would specialize in!
🫂🫂 I AM SO VERY LATE TO THIS ;; I'm terrible at putting together specifics for each of them but here's their types!
Amia: Ice/Ghost
Hunter: Fire/Steel
Lilia: Grass/Fairy
Leo: Flying/Water
Reyn: Normal/Dark
Ruina: Dragon
Astel: Flying/Normal
Asta: Poison
Siena: Normal/Flying/Grass
Felix: Ground/Flying
Kieran: Dark/Fire
Sola + Luna: Dragon/Fairy
Oliver + Ophelia: Normal/Fairy
Rial: Ghost/Fire
if your wizard world origin oc's were transported to the sages's world what would the first thing they do be?
Hmm I think I can split them into a rough 3 categories,
1- I can imagine the energetic ones like Ruina, Lilia, Oliver, Ophelia, etc immediately getting attracted to the bright colours and sounds in the city so their first priority would likely be to go visit the surrounding stores.
2- The more mature ones like Reyn, Amia or Asta would be more interested in the cultural/environmental aspects of the place, trying to figure out why things work the way they do and being interested in things like the local subway system (lol)
3-And then last but not least there's the calm ones like Astel, Leo, Felix that would likely want to see the sage's home and get everyone/everything settled before doing anything
