that's really interesting!!! onto that question — is it okay to make outer god or god ocs in elden ring?? it's okay to be overindulgent?? growing up in the days where everyone called stuff mary sues makes me doubt sometimes, and i look up to you as a writer .. it's hard to explain a little just wondering if it's okay to indulge with what used to be shamed in the early 2010s
YOU'RE SO SWEET THANK YOU. i think you should write whatever the hell you want. as a treat. what one should worry about honing in on is PRESENTATION. a lot of characters could be considered """"mary sues"""" by those arbitrary standards. i think as long as you're having fun who cares? rather than worrying about "is this idea cringe" worry about "how can i communicate this idea better, as a writer or artist". hone your skills and abandon the notion of cringe. batman, ranni elden ring, the warrior of light themselves just as canon presents them, every fucking shounen mc to some degree, etc....tons of characters are "mary sues". but how good their story is has to do with the skills the author has, not the substance necessarily. go forth!!!!!!! abandon shame and feed your brain so you can write better!!!
