seeing comments like "I went from disliking her to liking her" and now it has atleast 2 million views under that "unbiased" thread made me angry as an utahime and gouta fan. The negativity is insane apparently there is the lack of that energy for pro ships. This just saddens me since alot people from our community make alot of utahime and gojohime dynamic threads with great anaylsis and honestly hardwork and these people do not even know and they do not have romantic stuff and these antis just bash us for liking their appeal and then this "unbiased" thread is spreading around about utahime and trying to dox gouta's dynamic. I know some people do be little farfetched in either sides but it really saddens me to see them say we mischaracterize utahime and her dynamic with gojo and acting like they know her better. This was like my tipping point. I just want to say I am happy with alot of you people's retaliations against those. I am happy to be in community with people like you. More arts and fics should come out to spite them.
trust me when i say i share your sentiment, anon. it’s almost funny how op wasted their time digging through countless gjhm hcs and theories just to create a thread solely to spite us. it’s so obvious their main agenda is to debunk gjhm. and now the reply section is flooded with #those weird ass people acting like they love and know her better when they were the ones that mocked and ridiculed us for wanting utahime to get more recognition, more merch and more inclusion in collabs and illustrations. it’s as if they weren’t the ones at the frontline harassing her fans and gjhm shippers not long ago. but seriously, are we even surprised? these people just can’t stand seeing her anywhere near their favorite FICTIONAL men. by the way they’re acting, you'd think we barged into their house and spat on their dog. it’s just honestly baffling how they react as if our enjoyment of a fictional pairing is a personal attack to them. like, are you telling me that my happiness with gjhm somehow diminishes your own preferences or beliefs? bffr 😭
and you’re absolutely right. it really irks me that threads fueled by shipping agendas gain traction while the quality ones that genuinely explore utahime’s character and potential get overlooked. it’s like the thoughtful stuff just doesn't get the love it deserves. it's frustrating because there's so much more to her than just who she's shipped with.
i just wish more people would take the time to discover and engage with threads created by fans who genuinely care about utahime, rather than those who only show interest in her once they believe they've discredited the pairing she's associated with. these genuine fans put in so much effort to explore her complexities and potential, celebrate her character, and envision her future role in the story. she deserves appreciation and exploration on her own merits, not as a pawn in shipping wars.
and yes, i'm totally onboard with that! with gouta week just around the corner, we’re sure to see a surge in amazing artwork and fanfics that will definitely piss off the antis. they clearly have nothing better to do than broadcast their hatred for a ship for the whole world too see, because apparently, the idea of others having different preferences is just too much for them to handle. their pettiness only shows their lack of better things to do 🤭
