I love seeing fictional works abt it, but I feel pretty good at how i compartmentalize what I feel towards pairings from very well-written fics/drawn romantic art, and acknowledging that they're fictional, ygwim? Like... The $kz in fanworks are like actors to me: they are not their roles in fictional works. So even if i love consuming that kind of media, and no matter how "likely" even, it's not my place to say what should be real just because it seems like it is? I love how their dynamics irl are written or depicted to make things "work" that way, but im ok if thats not how it is irl ykwim like 😅 maybe im overexplaining, but i think the fanspace has been quite Hostile about this recently without fully understanding that it's not as bad as they make it out to be 😔
