1. waterfowl , i envy them because they kind of have the best of 3 worlds (land, air, water), the scales they range from absolutely gorgeous standout color morphs to derpy funny guys, and their vocalizations equally can go from Mystical insane creature to derpy. its really fun to go birding for them cuz i love going to the beach or marsh. the common loon is my fav bird ever btw

2. owls - they feel mystical to me. im still yet to actually see one despite all my time outside this year. like so fascinating. and i love how good of hunters they are and their stares. the snowy, barn, and barred owl are my favs

3. herons/ibises - they are like living dinosaurs whenever i see them outside it's so fucking cool. when u see one flying in midair it seriously does not feel real liek the bigger ones liek egrets nd herons its cray. and i love how metal they are (watching herons hunt and just spearing a gopher in 1 shot is so cool)

4. woodpeckers - kind of biased bc i grew up around them so they remind me of home/forest life a lot. they are the prettiest of the feeder birds to me cuz they have such insane striped/speckled patterns i love them.

5. hawks/falcons/eagles - they are so majestic nd regal but also brutal at the same time. the way some of the faster falcons hunt is so freaking cool. i love hearing red-taileds out in the wild it sometimes spooks me a bit depending on how far away they are. if i became a falconer one day it would be cool as fuck

entei movie makes me bawl my eyes out every time i watch it, but in the way that it triggers something really specific with my emotions/memories so i dont really watch it unless im prepared, also really dreamy

i love the shaymin one specifically because its like my fav pokemon and i love that she speaks confidently/kind of stuck up because thats how i like seeing legendary fairies portrayed
