idk why i never really thought abt it before but now that my brain is actually working, i just realized the reason why the title is "kiss away the past" is bc they (esp ji) is kissing away his past (bc of the numerous kisses that happened in thay fic) yeah no i was organizing my fics and thats when it hit me 😭
wait can we have a list of ur all-time fav fics? i'm so curious now!
this hasnt been updated in a few months but i have recs in my carrd here: https://jasmine-dream.carrd.co/

hey! just wanted to say ive been feeling the same way since the news of the collab dropped too. same as you, ive been here since 2019, which is a really long time now, and idk. that concert 3racha attended and them saying those things that actually make sense, and now they have. This.
because, i for one, do not believe this collab alone is pushed by the company. sure the company may have had them see that these are the available people for collab or whatever but 3racha specifically has all the reigns to choose whoever like all of their past collabs, like makes this one different? and these choices just ... are they still the same kids i know?
they're all so enthusiastic about it too. while chan is not as active about it on bbl, during their video promos hes the most talkative about it. same as changbin too, worse is hes even promoted it on bbl! lix asking us if we liked the song on bbl. like what was the point for saying sorry for that bottle of coke? just to appease fans? overall its disappointing, because i feel like what theyve been saying was just a "tactic" and idk if anything theyve been saying and doing is genuine. this is like my first time questioning it during my fan time with them. probs taking a break from them now. i really dont know what to feel.
it's 100% valid to take a step back from it all while you wrap your head around everything that's happened. i do think the kids had a say in the collab. idk the ins and outs of how a song camp works so idk to which extent they had a say, but the main thing that triggered this for me is that we praise the kids for their creative control all the time so how are we supposed to assume they had absolutely none in this case? so i do think they worked willingly with CP and the israeli producer (although most probs without prior knowledge of their backgrounds - CP especially has worked with bts in the past so i imagine that a collab with him was seen as v lucrative & a step up in the american industry). i think the timeline of the single was probs decided by jype though, meaning the decision to actually release the song at the time they have is on the company.
that being said, i think the backlash to the single has been loud enough for jype & the kids to have caught wind of it, especially by now. idk what info the k-side of the fandom have heard though & what's been translated. are skz pushing their excitement bc they think westerners just dont like CP or do they know why we actually dont fuck with him or the producer? as much as stays are defensive over them, it's undeniable that it's more likely for the english-speaking members to see Why there's a backlash... have they told the others? have they buried their heads in the sand? do they care? do they not think it's A Big Deal for them to work with these people since they're not one of the big bad companies on the bds list? idt we'll ever know so it's honestly up to us to decide how we process and handle that.
keep your chin up! it's a hard position but the fact that you feel so conflicted in the first place shows where your morals are ❤️❤️
hi jasmine!

talking about the ask about the royalties, like at the end even if they do not get any (which is mostly not true) theyll end up gettin more exposure > more exposure = more fans = more posibilities of money = more revenue to support what they believe in (z¡ionism and the genoz*¡de of palestinian ppl)
pleasepleaseplease post the link of that Braime fic pleasee
hi just want to say i read your 2min and it rearranged my dna. literally fucked me up so bad /pos . the tag is blessed because of you ❤️
here is a good link explaining why stays should support the boycott:
https://www.tiktok.com/@noeasycat/video/7359896061428731144?_r=1&_t=8lyVIpqjziN
also I think you might've tweeted about this but if LMB is on the next album how much of the physical album sales will go towards zionists?
oh so that's the infamous noeasycat! but it's true
also the answer for how much of the physical album sales will go towards the zionists if LMB is on the next album; the answer is that we won't know unfortunately and it'll all come down to the contract that they've agreed. i'll link this answer down that goes more in depth:
"if someone works on a song that ends up on an album, will they get royalties etc. from the sale of the physical album? eve… — thank you so much for this info, it's really insightful! i know there's not one clear answer as we'll never know, but it's d… [ https://retrospring.net/@jjasmine/a/112376044044356708 ]
your tweet about feeling more and more disillusioned— me too, and i’m glad i’m not alone. i’ve been a fan since the survival show and it’s just. i don’t know, seeing so many fans telling boycotters to leave the fandom as well as the enthusiasm the members had for the comeback just makes me sick
i think a lot of people dont want to say it out loud for fear of being jumped which is understandable but the feeling is not as uncommon as you might think. ive seen a fair few people who actually /have/ left the fandom, or are taking an indefinite break, because of this situation. the same anti-boycotters you mentioned will rush to label these people as fake fans, antis etc. but the truth is that there are many people who won't follow their faves blindly down a path they don't agree with, no matter how attached they are. i've been stanning skz since 2019 (so not quite as long as you but for a fair bit of time!) and i know exactly how you feel. when you stan someone, this kind of thing hits harder because damn, you have some emotional attachment to these people so to get this reality check does feel like a kick to the teeth. i'm not going to be as impacted by, say, chris brown doing something shitty bc i dont stan him and i already know what kind of guy he is. but i do stan skz so it makes sense for us to be so affected by this.
all this to say, it's 100% understandable that you feel the way you do and you're definitely not alone ❤️
"if someone works on a song that ends up on an album, will they get royalties etc. from the sale of the physical album? even if it's just a tiny cut?"
this completely depends on the contract the songwriters/artists have with the publishing company i.e. label. one can write and produce a song for an artist and either get paid solely as a flat fee (more common when the artist is unknown so you negotiate a higher upfront fee because you don't think the royalties will be much), solely on royalties (I think this is rare, but an unknown producer might offer it as an incentive - sort of a no-win no-fee situation) or as a mix of both (this is most common. a standard percentage is 10-25% for the producers).
same for someone who performs on another artist's song: a session musician or backup singer is more likely to get a flat rate, a feature artist might get a cut of profits (royalties), or it might be a swap deal where they don't get why payment but the other artist promises to feature on a future song of theirs.
there is no way to know for sure unless the parties involved divulge that information, as it is confidential business info.
in this case that we're all thinking of right now, it's most likely that the external producers will get royalties as well as an upfront payment, but we'll never know unless they tell us.
are u writing abt that j!l!x biker idea of yours ? 👀
hi jasmine!! i figured you were a good person to ask, do you have any comprehensive threads or resources that outline why we dislike charlie puth? i have friends not convinced and dont know/cant seem to find good enough info myself. thank you!! ~🌻
hiya! ive been trying to find the threads that informed me but twt, as always, is broken (and for some reason keeps taking me back to the same tweet about lil nas x????). anyways, for CP specifically, he's posted a couple of times in support of israel + liked other people's posts e.g. noah schnapp. he spoke in support of his 'idol' dr luke (who r*ped kesha) and said that it's a shame the attention is being taken away from the music and that kesha wasn't releasing new music (while she was in a lawsuit against her abuser????). he also liked some islamophobic stuff on fb that essentially was saying america needs to admit there's a 'pattern' to attacks they face and they're all islamic/jihadists etc. etc.
a lot of people also dont like him bc of rumours of how icky he is with other female celebrities. he hinted that attention was about selena gomez who he admitted in an interview rejected his sexual advances.
