hey! just wanted to say ive been feeling the same way since the news of the collab dropped too. same as you, ive been here since 2019, which is a really long time now, and idk. that concert 3racha attended and them saying those things that actually make sense, and now they have. This.

because, i for one, do not believe this collab alone is pushed by the company. sure the company may have had them see that these are the available people for collab or whatever but 3racha specifically has all the reigns to choose whoever like all of their past collabs, like makes this one different? and these choices just ... are they still the same kids i know?

they're all so enthusiastic about it too. while chan is not as active about it on bbl, during their video promos hes the most talkative about it. same as changbin too, worse is hes even promoted it on bbl! lix asking us if we liked the song on bbl. like what was the point for saying sorry for that bottle of coke? just to appease fans? overall its disappointing, because i feel like what theyve been saying was just a "tactic" and idk if anything theyve been saying and doing is genuine. this is like my first time questioning it during my fan time with them. probs taking a break from them now. i really dont know what to feel.

it's 100% valid to take a step back from it all while you wrap your head around everything that's happened. i do think the kids had a say in the collab. idk the ins and outs of how a song camp works so idk to which extent they had a say, but the main thing that triggered this for me is that we praise the kids for their creative control all the time so how are we supposed to assume they had absolutely none in this case? so i do think they worked willingly with CP and the israeli producer (although most probs without prior knowledge of their backgrounds - CP especially has worked with bts in the past so i imagine that a collab with him was seen as v lucrative & a step up in the american industry). i think the timeline of the single was probs decided by jype though, meaning the decision to actually release the song at the time they have is on the company.

that being said, i think the backlash to the single has been loud enough for jype & the kids to have caught wind of it, especially by now. idk what info the k-side of the fandom have heard though & what's been translated. are skz pushing their excitement bc they think westerners just dont like CP or do they know why we actually dont fuck with him or the producer? as much as stays are defensive over them, it's undeniable that it's more likely for the english-speaking members to see Why there's a backlash... have they told the others? have they buried their heads in the sand? do they care? do they not think it's A Big Deal for them to work with these people since they're not one of the big bad companies on the bds list? idt we'll ever know so it's honestly up to us to decide how we process and handle that.

keep your chin up! it's a hard position but the fact that you feel so conflicted in the first place shows where your morals are ❤️❤️
