Yk what ur so right about the Yj fic thing im just noticing it….. in popular ships he’s just a stereotype mostly. In B/J stuff he’s usually a player and Y/B a short fem guy TvT maybe it’s bcs the fandom is quite young….also thanks so much for the fic recs!!
unfortunately yeah and this is quite annoying.. like nothing bad with having a trope that you like but when the whole ship dynamic revolves around one specific stereotype and then people start fighting each other because someone wants to interpret said ship as something else is kinda........................ honestly dont really understand why some people feel the need to put him through some ooc hell and make him a fuckboy/a caricature of some petite girl. like go read a heterofic or watch an american tv show with bad boys. and you are welcome!! qvq

do you have any yjn centric fics that you really love? some to portray his duality and complexity 😞 especially those where they at least mention his masculinity a bit because so many fics only focus on his femininity

actually!! i do think yj is probably the most biased character in this rpf space but (and i dont mean to sound pretentious as fuck) most people just DONT GET HIM!!!! they kind of use him as a pretty face to either fuck or get fucked. and the worst part is that theyll also mischaracterize the other members so u just end up w a fic that has one character as a dildo and another one as a cocksleeve :///
ur so right honestly. people reaaaally like to mischaracterise him and others for the sake of plot that uhm.. it is closer to be an oc story than a xtx story sometimes. its like people tend to focus on one specific trait and make it yjns whole personality or they Completely flip his personality for the sake of the plot like there is no winning here sometimes 🧍🏻

yeah :") honestly this whole kvi thing really does remind me of those situations where people dont even want to ship him w everyone because of him being "the youngest"/"the baby", so they leave him out of stuff? idk just makes me so upset because lol he is so much more than that please wake up

sounds like you need to read a broader spectrum of fics because there's plenty that show yj and kvi as more than that
i can understand where you are coming from but it is still quite a common thing that happens. /especially/ with kvi. im not saying that fics that explore both of them as characters are non-existent, of course not, but it is somewhat normal for people to make kvi some empty side character just for the sake of including him in the story and not upsetting anybody by not including him. if you are searching with specific tags then yeah, of course you will find what you are looking for, but im talking about the general picture of how some people perceive them in fiction if that makes sense?
