oh no worries! i just didn’t want to misunderstand your question. but tbh, i would hope that the answer comes across in the story! they both had their reasons for holding back commitment, whether it was feeling emotionally available for love and relationship, being vulnerable, dealing with the fact that their lives are often very different, and getting comfortable with what being in a relationship implies. i rly hoped that those emotions and reasons were clear in the narrative so i’m sorry if it’s not! but the reasons are basically the whole plot of the story 😮‍💨😅😭
