i genuinely adore the idea of argenti and boothill being each other's person sm. i don't have a way with words that's good enough to really get into the nitty gritty, but when you look at them seriously as a pair, there's so much that they're able to provide and cover for the other T_T and i love how such a seemingly silly ship and dynamic can actually turn into something more beautifully tragic or angsty if you really start piecing their stories together... ouuhh... argenthill... the smumpkins...
Tbh with you, I've always seen them as some kind of soulmates. To me, they represent the red strings of fate, that's how I would personally describe it.
They have opposite backstories, opposite ways of behaving and still, their color palette matches.
Meeting each other constantly, Boothill not threatening Argenti in any given moment with his gun because of how well he knows him, and Argenti being extra worried about Boothill, going out of his way to butt into things that he wasn't originally included in.
Boothill having the patience to listen to Argenti talk to him for hours.
