when you asked me for my @ back then i didn't actually think it was genuine, but more like, a rethorical... figure of speech... point of emphasis type thing (• ▽ • ;)
i never really went out of my way to keep it a secret – i just think it’s more fun this way! letting you shape your own idea of Star Anon; someone who shares their thoughts and views with you while selfishly waiting for your responses, all while hidden behind the thin curtain of anonymity.
there's nothing to say that the reveal wouldn't be a letdown as well; after all, who am i to predict if you’d have preferred the mystery in the long run? haha it's not that deep but i do enjoy the immersion sometimes (✯ᴗ✯)
but i guess my artstyle not being consistent did help a bit, for we are mutuals haha >﹏<
I'm definitely making this far more dramatic than it needs to be, but honest to god, it's so much fun this way. everything I've done up to this point has been purely for my own amusement – there's no deeper motive behind it. staying anon keeps the mystery and maintains the fun all the same, but revealing myself would bring its own excitement, by which I mean, seeing your reaction. Did you see it coming? We haven’t talked much, so does it surprise you? Are you disappointed? Would our interactions change now, or would it stay the same?

I remember, a bit ago, I searched around for you in a curious attempt to actually understand who was dropping those masterpieces in my strawpage only to come back bare handed.
Fun fact: I have a horrible eye for artstyles, I continuously swap artists, even without meaning to, and I always end up apologising 100+ times because oh my god, how in the fuck did I not recognise this artstyle (fun fact number two: it happened that I did this two times to my artist friend and again, I had to apologise because jesus christ, how did I manage to not recognise the style. I still get clowned for it, but in a friendly way, which is completely okay in my perspective because it is said jokingly and we all have a laugh out of my blindness for artstyles 😭)
So you know, an idea popped into my brain when you drew that Boothill in a dress, with Argenti right next to her. You qrted, I thought I recognised the style but then again... Horrible eye... I did not trust myself to judge.
After the tension I got from other people in the fandom, I started to trust less and less people, and unfortunately, you did start interacting with me during that period, which was very bad timing 😭 if you found me cold, I assure you, I did not do it on purpose.
I found our interactions under my posts pretty nice, what helped me to pin point you was how you replied to me. The way you express yourself was the same as the inboxes you sent and I already had a target on you, so this didn't really help your case neow did it-
Plus, people recognised you are romanian. You sent calculus stuff on my strawpage as well, so one would just have to look at your profile and the info would match. Let's say that all that combined helped me a lot to just pinpoint you, however I still wasn't sure.
That's why I asked for the @ because it would've broken my heart to actually not be able to see who I was talking to.
I am not disappointed in the least, actually, I'm extremely happy and grateful. We did talk once in dms I remember.
Just now, I wanted to try to scout my moots one last time before actually giving up and asking you the @ and just then I was like "hm... Let's check Zec one last time, before I give in" and my oh my, wasn't I happy to find first the argenthill animals inbox you sent me in reply to Hydro, and then one of the inboxes of fem argenthill with that star right beside it.
So no, to answer you, I am definitely not disappointed nor sad to discover that someone so talented was right beside me the whole time and that I actually had them hanging around me even if I acted awkward because of my trust issues. I found it sweet, if you ask me. And I'd actually like to thank you for it, however, don't let me stop you from having fun, I do understand that me discovering it could take the magic away from it, but I did enjoy this a lot. Maybe for the sake of old times, if we want to be dramatic, I'd love to have this to continue. However! I do have some things to tell you, because you might be happy to know them, so do contact me as soon as you finish reading this 😭
Other than that, don't let me keep you, Star, I'm happy to know that my reactions were actually funny and were not seen as harassment, I thought about it afterwards and I did shit myself a little bit because um. YEAH! ANYWAY!
