Ohhhh you have a point regarding Anya resembling Jenna n people mistaking her for Gabi. Anya is already in ATSV and she looks nothing like Jenna, personally I prefer other designs they had for her instead of the one they went with. (Specifically the one where she still has long brown hair ? Still huge. But like. She maintains her Anya-ness, to me.)

But YESSSSSSS AN ANYA ANIMATED SERIES IS WHAT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE !! I am very big on moving away from Peter Parker spiderman so the public can grow attached to someone else (in this case, Anya). I know Marvel is afraid of losing money by not having Peter as a main character but at the same time we have all these different spider people BECAUSE they wanted non cishet white guys to also relate to Spidey, hence the very diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds that other spiserfolk have. Anya, specifically, is a VERY interesting spider woman — her power set is unique, her approach to the Spidey [job] is unique, she has a very bright and bold personality (VERY bold. I love that.) and I think having a series focus on HER mainly would bring so many people to appreciate her as a character rather than a background Spidey girlie, ya feel ?

I'm already happy seeing how more people get to see her via the spider society comics. I hope she gets to stay and linger around in Spidey comics in the near future (and in the long run) !

Possibly ! Matter of fact, I think she has what it takes to drive spider society away from being Spidercops™ and turn it into what it was supposed to be: a space where spiderfolk can get together and fight multidimensional threats together, meet up and keep in touch, learn from each other, etc.

Anya has the most potential to understand that the multiverse is very flexible and can adapt to many things and Miguel destroying earth 660 by waiting for that other Miguel to die then play house with his daughter until it collapsed was probably his fault. He did something incredibly selfish and paid the consequences of his actions. And from what we saw in the movie, he's not very good with accountability.

Anya's bond with magic makes her also a better potential leader or general guide for and with spider society bc she has a sense of community that the Miguel we meet in ATSV doesn't have. She can listen to others and consults them before taking decisions whereas Miguel...

ALL THAT TO SAY. Anya could definitely step up and take over Spiso in the next movie and it would make so much sense for her to take a bigger role due to who she is, her powers and her gift of magic and her experience. She'd also be a much better fit when it comes to handling miles bc she's not (at least so far) a self aggrandizing prat. (Which. As much as I love Miguel that's what he is and that's why ATSV events happened the way they did.)

You can look up the treatment of Saarji Baartman her whole life (and even postmortem) and Caster Semenya as well and how black femmes specifically are violently excluded from the [gentle, meek & mild] perception of women/womanhood.

• all my new OCs since ATSV have MULTIVERSES and alternates in each universe.
• they are mostly accidents and impulsive decisions and I love looking back on their creation process.
• my oldest OCs are kinda crazy they're like. Anthologies of all the media I loved at the time put into ONE character, each time. I love it.
• my newest OCs have more research behind em and I genuinely love the process itself of doing research on a character and give them more and more shape as time goes until I end up with a final design. I've had a research stream once w friends and it was a fun time. I wanna do one again 😁 it's so nice to see characters come to life 😁😁
• some of my OCs, notably Yuka, Saint (mspaint) and Bel all took a life of their own and I absolutely love that. To the point where I don't even have to say "oh they'd do that". Someone else would see them and be able to pinpoint exactly what kind of silly shit they'd get into and it would be PERFEFTLY accurate and I love that about them.

That said, Margo was QUICK to disobey Miguel and go against his principles when she understood Miguel was on some bullshit and was a danger to Miles. Gwendolyn Maxine Stacy did NOT. Rather, she lied to Miles the whole time either directly or by omission which put Miles in danger all the way through and even stuck to that "we're supposed to be the good guys" shit. Which makes her a perfect product of Miguel's teachings. Unlike Margo. But to know and analyze these things, one would have to not only overcome personal biases, but also know how to handle media with a critical eye AS IT IS, without overlooking the ugly parts or straight up denying their existence. Not everyone can do that. Even people who claim to the proship title.
