glad ppl actually agree with my rants on here oml its hard not to feel crazy at times cuz majority has a wildly different read on churins character than me.
god ppl are so fixated on turning him to be a perfect victim it kills me. like that one post abt how churin was forcibly made by ipc to do a sexy magazine photoshoot as if that mf isnt completely taking advantage of his own damn looks to rake in money. like this is the guy who would sell out his own eyeballs if it means getting some cold hard cash. said mf is also a dance influencer. he's hustling with whatever talent and looks he had and it's great.

abt masked fools, it's completely understandable why he rejected them. based on the messages from jade, churin has already a view on what happiness is (see his voiceline about wealth and how it basically enables a life of dignity) and how to get it (through ipc). thing about churin though is he asks "what is the point?" whenever he attains happiness (read: wealth). his voiceline abt winning really emphasizes this. the core conflict of his character is that he wins. but its ultimately meaningless in like. maybe grand scheme of things? maybe cuz he has nobody to share that happiness with. masked fools and elation can't really help him answer that question. tbh even ipc can't. masked fools may also help him gain money but these masked fools ultimately keeps chasing elation meaning winning over and over and churin finds that boring. idk if that makes sense i just got home from trip but yea. he'll be just as good in masked fools but he'll be bored out of his skull. he also knows there's a more efficient way of siphoning out money so he'll inevitably still choose ipc tbh. sidenote is that i get psychic dmg whenever i rmbr a post abt how churin rejected elation cuz he doesn't believe he deserves happiness or whatever. guys.... stop making him such a pathetic sad sack. makes me wish jade didnt have to step in to close penacony deal and have churin do it himself so ppl will have to knock it in their heads that hes a hardline capitalist

relationship with jade: tense fucked up motherdaughterisms. jade likes him. my hc was that he was a still a child when she picked him up so she is kinda soft towards him. but she also remembers his promise of rising above her. i love that tbh. she saw the bottomless pit in churin since she can read desires and all. jade's customers at bonajade exchange all end up losing. and while churin isnt exactly one of her customers (she ends up rejecting his wish to see diamond) she still ends up getting a "collateral" from him aka his name in exchange for wealth and everything. ppl think jade calling him aventurine is a means of control and her being racist? but i think she just foresaw where churins desired would lead him — that of being a stoneheart. lmfao

god diamond WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN. there's so much that hoyo hasnt shown us but he's definitely reverent even when he smashed the cornerstone. he knows diamond will cover for his ass. i wanna know if he also believes in diamonds cause. ive also talked abt this before but the contrast between churin "blessed" by gaiathra vs diamond "blessed" by qlipoth. same blessings. wildly different outcome. wanna know what churin thinks of that difference. the way churin received a fraction of qlipoths power through diamond was described as very drab and without fanfare. he got it. he felt nothing. but this stone was evidently powerful that it can withstand emanator attack AND protects him from the worst of nihilitys effects. churin regularly makes bet with his own life to escape death but i wonder if having a portion of qlipoth/diamonds power makes it easier/make him more confident with going through his plans. these are just my yaoi delusions with diachurin tho. i think there's something juicy there. like to think churin as diamonds loyal but loose canon but with the other stonehearts being Like That i think they're all loose canons 😭

idk abt other characters he would have nice dynamic with. im just invested in his dynamics with other stonehearts. seems like opal and sugilite has a pretty good read on churin (see opals like abt churin wanting his luck to fail and sugilite saying the death was just an unnecessary extravagance) and churin, who has to put on a show? a mask? being easily seen through like that esp by his most annoying coworkers... sending thots and prayers

as for others
TB: useful pawn. nice to them cuz he might need them again someday. maintains loose connection with them but splurges on them to feel Something. but its not because TB is special to him or anything.

topaz: looks out for her and wonders how tf she survives in a cutthroat environment. would love to study her under a microscope sometime but would rather scam her to keep her on her toes every now and then. he thinks hes doing her a favor like hey at least its churin doing the scamming so it's not someone who would go overboard.

ratman: he finds him haughty and immediately puts him in place in final victor cone i love it. i think context of that is that ratman doubted churin can pull of some high stakes mission. im just gonna repeat what one of jades message abt churin management style: 🗣️if director aventurine says something can be done it will be done 🗣️i think he's got a good read on ratman and knows which buttons to push to get the reaction that he wants. could be considered friends tbh. him casually throwing out a line abt how ratman gave up on getting into genius society. thats pretty personal to know what kind of future plans someone has in store. churins not as impressed with ratmans antics as his adoring fans are.

ratman entered peniscony to be churins handler and i guess he did a great job in assisting churin and making sure he stays alive.
