your opinion on someone acquiring childhood pictures of the members that wasn't coming from the members themselves or their close relatives? because no matter how much i rationalize it, it's weird how they somehow have it itfp, and if it's not already weird enough... they're often watermarking the pics too. not to mention how having a picture of someone's child (<13 y.o) (even though they're public figures) just doesn't sit right with me. like ik the showbiz is invasive, but it's eye opening how majority of people actually normalize it and think it's cute... (🍞)
oh it makes me VERYYY uncomfortable. i've also somehow gotten in that situation but i don't feel like it's right to have a photo that the idol is unaware of circulating the internet so obviously i declined. predebut photos and photos in the kpop industry in general can be very invasive so the least i can do is not accept pics of idols that were not shared with their permission! also the watermarking thing is weird. like watermarking is for concert photography and making sure there is credit for the video or photo. but like when it's a snapshot of a predebut idol in a yearbook? yea no 😭😭😭
