i always see the hostile hybrid x patient loving human, but what about affectionate and openly loving cat hybrid tyun and his new (reluctant) owner yj that has to take care his now deceased mother's cat. he doesn't HATE the cat per-se, he barely knew him since whenever he'd visit his mom she would put the cat in her bedroom. it's just that he experienced his own pet's death when time wasn't kind to him, and that made him close his heart to be overly affectionate with any animals beyond street feeding them.

i would imagine him getting easily ticked by tyun, when yj comes to pick up the cat and plan everything else later, just to fall on the floor crying over his mom again after avoiding it for a week (let's just assume her kind neighbor has been taking care of tyun daily but couldn't stay more than feed him breakfasts n dinners in her absence), and for tyun in his cat form to rub his wet nose on the top of his hair. so yj push the cat hard until he topple over the floor with quite the big thud, but he collected himself quickly and walk his way back to yj to nuzzle him again. yj momentarily forgot then, that the hybrid also mourn for his mom and is simply looking for the closest comfort that comes through the front door, probably familiar with his scent from the times he'd visit his mom. and he cry even harder while hugging the cat, but not too tightly, while saying his sorries.

yj would also feel awkward when they're back at his place (staying at his mom's is a big no for now) and the hybrid (still in his cat form for some reason, but yj barely knew him afterall) looks at him curiously under him, and decide to walk over to him and rub his head and body on yj's leg while purring, making him frozen in his place...

kinda blanked out after this, but yj would process his grieves through having tyun in his place. i think queer platonic is very suitable for this actually, i feel icky about turning it into romance...

a random thought about tsundere cat owner yj and big boba eyed cat tyun in the brain. hurt/comfort and i must share lest i blow up (cry actually) (🍞)
