If magni and dimo listened to vocaloid what do you think their favorite song/producer would be!
omg i'm not up to date at all with vocaloid songs & producers sdlfijdlsl
ok magni & dimo would love songs with a very warped style that really leans into digital glitchiness/processing and giving you a disconcerted feeling. stuff that would make the uninitiated think "is that even music?"
don't apply the last statement to these ppl bc that might be rude - but traffic by nilfruits, bitter choco decoration by syudou, and kara kara kara no kara by kikuo are fun options. i think magni & dimo would have even crazier taste (tho kikuo songs rly do get close to what i'm thinking) but idk music like that lmao
bonus for variety:
thistle would have mainstream/pop/high tempo taste (deco27, jin, wowaka), but would also listen widely, be very up to date, and know all the vocaloid & utaite lore. i think there's a bunch of vocaloid music that sounds kind of like kpop now (giga i think) and she'd be into that
bluebell would like the slower, more contemplative songs. meltdown by iroha and deep sea girl by yuuyu come to mind. she'd also like songs that sound very cute but have fucked up lyrics/meanings and she's slightly shocked and embarrassed when you tell her
Please tell me you have your little booger man with you for the trip!!! Don't lose him this time!!
do you have any otps? Original or fandom
Hm I’m not much of a shipping person! There r definitely ships or pairings I find fun but not really in an Only This kind of way. I’m more chara focused than ship focused I think! My cop out answer is magni and dimo I spent this morning listening to my playlist imagining MVs of them in different AUs w varying levels of ambiguous to toxic to weirdly wholesome.
Bonus: not necessarily OTP level but I crack ship namida and harmony from splatoon. planned a comic for them but never had time to make it smh
What if your favorite part of the comic process?
I think it has to be the concept & visual development part! Thinking about themes/motifs/story structure/visual language and how they’ll all slot together to build a bigger story is just sooo juicy to me. I love exploring what the specific visual style of the project will be - what kind of hand and mark making builds up the page and what does it mean? What kind of rules for the page layout should I set to balance technical and thematic goals or constraints? What inspirations am I looking at? What era or genre or art is this story in conversation with and how can my choices add layers to interpreting the story? It’s like a big puzzle and when the pieces interlock in multiple ways too — mwah. Obsessed.
