For the writers applications (when they open) - it says you want 3 self-contained examples of writing no more than 1.5k words. Is this the total word count limit, or is it 3 passages which are 1.5k words long each?

Each sample can individually be up to 1.5k words (a little more is okay; just don't go too wild haha) and up to 4.5k collectively.

I will make sure to clarify this better in the application guidelines!
