Ohh not particularly :') I don't like it when people make assumptions about me based on my ocs so I try not to give them defining traits that I have.
But you know what they say, "write what you know" even if I put my ocs in situations that I have never (or will hopefully never) experience, the feelings and situations I reference to write them are still sometimes based on things I know from real life :') Like Kingston being able to see ghosts and feeling very distant or frustrated when nobody else can and being told he's making things up by adults is vaguely based on things people have said to me growing up with a learning disability and teachers thinking I was making things up for attention. OTL
so tldr: the traits themselves aren't based on me but I do draw more on the feelings behind certain stuff to write my ocs bc I think feelings are more relatable.
Definitely yes!!!
I live vicariously through Elio, so I would naturally give him most of my strengths while letting him realize certain dreams that I know I can't fully achieve in real life (i.e. being wealthy, fit, talented, heathenistic, charismatic, more physically-capable and socially-flexible, etc.).
For example, his design-filled black aesthetics and love of Lo-Fi Hip-Hop come from me.
