Kanae's favorite food is really simple-- she enjoys grilled fish over anything else, and while she's able to do that on her own, the way her dad makes it is just Different so she thinks of it fondly. Otherwise she likes stuff like sukiyaki and hearty stews/soups

W'htal isn't too particular about the food he likes vs doesn't like, but he doesn't have much of a sweet tooth. Given his previous line of work and not really wanting to take time out of his day for a separate meal he'd eat while working, so foods like skewers and onigiri were his go-to.
