How would you do a story starring normal animals who are anthropomorphic mentally but not physically?
humans are eradicated, but their knowledge and souls still inhabit this world as tangible, edible items. animals eat them, and gain their knowledge. some hoard them, some fight over others for them, partaking of their flesh and stealing back their knowledge. I think maybe a group of big dogs come in and claim to run the world from knowledge they gained from humans of a greater mind, and the protagonist has to prove them wrong etc etc.. Warriors + Shin Megami Tensei V sorta
