I'd like to improve the security of edit codes. How do these options sound to you?
* Add a 'strength meter' that requires a certain length, like a password. This would be based on how hard it'd be to crack, rather than fixed rules
* Switch the custom edit code option with a tickbox, making it so that only randomised edit codes are possible.
* Prevent re-using the same edit codes twice within the same 2 hours on different URLs (checked per user, not against all users)
The first one makes the most sense, by far. It would be a hassle to have randomized codes for every url because it would be so, so easy to misplace the codes and I can imagine the last thing you wanna do currently is make more work for yourselves 😓 I don’t really see the purpose of the last one either, some people may create URLs for extended pages and to be limited to a new paste once every two hours if you wanna use the same password would be really frustrating if I’m understanding this right
