Alex meets Henry when he’s in an abusive relationship. Not like Henry fighting for his life or anything but his self esteem is so bad and he’s very nervous, etc. So, when super successful, lawyer Alex chats him up, maybe Henry works part-time at a coffee shop or something, Henry is very standoffish. Like, he doesn’t wanna get in trouble w his bf, especially for this super straight bro having fun with the barista’s feelings. Or something like that. 😁
As a person in a former relationship where I was made to feel bad about myself, I cannot bring myself to write this trope without breaking down and tearing down all my therapists hard work. But this has potential to be amazing💕
