The best I can simple it down to is, Mac used to live with salmonids as her family, she moved the Splatsville for some time but is having doubts about staying there. She’s very protective of anyone finding out about them, while her friends are worried about her behavior because she’s not taking care of herself. Verdant goes to make sure she’s not being exploited in any way, and understands how she doesn’t want to open up yet. Meanwhile, back at the salmonid settlement, CB who is Macs friend, is not doing as well as he tells her since her absence.
