Lol hey I’m a former engene too 👋 5th gen is just so much better
i think 5th gen just had the big benefit of not debuting/having their rookie years during peak pandemic and quarantine T-T 4th gen got really unlucky with that and specifically the fan culture that developed from people being stuck at home and online 24/7 judging their every movement (even worse than it is on average, i mean. the sad end of year award shows where no one can even look at each other without the fear of god (fandom) being wreaked upon them)

yeah, i think your hanbin is very jay!! it’s just naturally like that—as you switch fandoms and leave one, the way you think or write doesn’t necessitate very dramatic change, so the style and characterization approaches tend to be one and the same or at least pretty similar. “our honeyed threads” is definitely sooo underrated, though, and you deserve all the flowers for it 😌
i agree with how writing styles + characterization approaches transfer from one fandom to another, i'll still write how i've always written (even as i continue to grow as a writer). and ahh our honeyed threads is definitely my biggest fic so i've felt all the love for it over the years, but i really appreciate you, thank you <33

yes, it was written so well ♥️ i can tell that your zb1 bias is probably jiwoong or hanbin, because you write them (especially hanbin) in a way that you used to write jay
this is so!!!!! interesting omg!!!!!!!!!! cause getting into zb1 i initially regarded mattbin as emotionally available heejay lol (it's the history of it all) and so i actually felt like i was writing hanbin as an emotionally available but still unattainable version of heeseung. i can kinda see what you mean about me writing hanbin like how i wrote jay tho... i love and admire him a lot so i think that probably translates into how i write about him in a similar way
you clocked me so hard btw. hyung line rotate in my head like a rotisserie chicken for my bias of the week at all times, but jiwoong was my unchanging no. 1 bias for the loooongest time (i look at him and i just get so emotional over this poetic himbo) but it's solidly become hao now. i'm just kinda obsessed with that guy he's so cool and cute and pouty

I’m kind of in the same boat with enhypen except I’m actually getting back into them again 🫶 Funny how so many of us turned away from them though… I notice that a lot of people started stanning other new bgs pretty fast! I know moots whose ults then became bonedo or tws or zb1 and that’s probably just the cycle of time. Or maybe enhypen are just abandonable like that idk
