Hello! Is it possible for me to apply as a merch artist even though I don't have experience with zines or making merch? Most of my finished works are chibis, and I illustrate as a hobby, so I haven't tried turning them into merchandise yet.

Final submissions are due DATE."
Can you clarify what is meant by due date? In your carrd, the latest dates are Aug-Dec as the creation period. What is the final due date, so that we may answer this question accurately? Thanks!

hello! would certain word count allowances for writers' pieces be acceptable? eg an extra 300 words on the 500-1k limit, for a total of 1.3k words? thanks!

Thank you for your interest 💌 unfortunately 300 words above the limit is too high. we are allowing some allowances (mainly under 100 over the limit) but are not accepting beyond that. this is to ensure those applying are able to provide a piece that would fit into the zine’s confines. Hello! For writers' samples, will there be any additional word allowances for the 500-1k restriction? Eg, an extra 100 words is acceptable, for a total of 1.1k words, or is it strictly kept to the set limits? Thanks!

Hi there! Thank you for your interest 💌 not a dumb question at all! yes you can choose existing works if you’d like but they’d have to adhere to the 500-1000 word count per piece! we suggest maybe sending google doc links (if thats what you use) within the application form so we can access it 💕
