Oh, I must remind you that the answer is not going to be pretty.
Arya means "noble" or "nobility" in Sanskrit as well as in Hinduism. But if we dig a little deeper, there's going to be this movement called Arya Samaj. This movement basically rejects the other existing Hindu texts because, for them, they are impure. And then there's the Aryan, where the word was adopted by the Europeans as a racial category that ended up influencing Nazi ideology. What draws me to this name is basically how a name (or a word) could mean something so good and simple, yet we humans took it as an identity and turned it into the exact opposite of what the word was supposed to be. There's nothing noble about claiming yourself as noble, and there's nothing noble about me, hence why Arya it is.
