hey!! writing question: how do u write smth u haven't experienced before?? ur 18 and u wrote abt having an office job however i assume u haven't actually had one before so how were u able to characterize that? im a fellow teenager who struggles w writing things i haven't done so i wanted to ask how u do it :3 ur such an amazing author and like yeah ur just super amazing so i'd love some tips!!

hiii i love writing questions c: soooo honestly i kept things really vague in, per ur example, the office au! didn't write much in detail about their jobs, briefly skirted around anything that had to do with actual tasks they would deal with to give the impression of the office while it remained as the setting. bc idrk! on that fic in particular i asked a few of my older friends abt what kind of company theyd work at n they gave me ideas! so its not as if im magically coming up w anything myself lol i also tend to research things while im writing fics in areas im unfamiliar w! just some things like that. i feel like to some extent theres absolutely no way of writing around a lack of life experience.... i would assume its much more obvious to others that im kind of clueless! i think ive managed to get away with it by being purposefully vague in some aspects and then providing specific details when i know for sure what im talking about LMAO
for another example im taking the food review hkvh fic i wrote - tbh i just like food n cooking so i wld reference sites like the infatuation for example. they have an instagram n id watch their posts which kind of gives me insider knowledge on how a business like that is run. and then i just logic out everything that i still dont know! i hope this was helpful... i cld prob think of others if theres anything else u can think of!
