What do you see as being the primary differences between the Adashu and Shuada ship dynamics? Are they mostly emotional or physical (or both)?

since it's the second question, i'll take this chance to add what i (dis)like about adashu and shuada? hope it's ok.

adashu
+ masculine yu - can't stress it enough. some adashu content are a pass for me bc despite all the pronouns the MC's personality is presented girlier than rise's and it feels like your typical m/f.

  • self-reflective(?) adachi. ofc he's uglier when given full control in an abusive ship, but i still appreciate it when he's given decent depth and isn't just an all-round bad guy 'for shits and giggles'. manipulative asshole and a twisted, cruel jerk - yes; a total freaking heartless psychopath? - nah, too dull.

  • darker takes on yu's personality can actually be good, too.

  • AE route. good stuff almost all of the times. the actual canon-adashu <3

shuada
+ stubborn/tsundere adachi. that's probably the best thing about the role reversal for me bc here adachi's inner cat nature can shine in full and can keep tsundereing all the way yu wants.

  • somewhat clueless yu? the less emotionally perceptive (or just cheeky and cunning) he is, the more adachi is forced to actually spell things out, which he hates (and i love it).

  • also, (ironically, compared to the previous point) PDA yu. doesn't care who's listening or watching at all.

  • post-canon or AU. can't properly picture this dynamic in the canon timeline but that's just me.
