i want to hear your opinion on something…they say bashing on pick me girls is misogynistic but then again pick me girls feeding into the patriarchy is setting women back so bad…wouldn’t it be feeding into misogyny if we let pick me behavior slide? like why should we let girls performing for men slide and then other girls will start thinking it’s okay to do that too
Pick me girls are in a phase I think. I think once they get into genuinely valuable friendships with other women it usually fixes itself. Imo the pick me thing happens alot with girls who aren’t as liked by their other girl peers for any sort of reason, and turn to male validation instead. It happened to me a while back bc I had weird interests for a girl to have ig. So I kinda stopped trying to be friends with other girls. I ended up going down a rlly bad rabbit hole but I did come back bc now I have girl/queer friends who have similarly weird interests. I think instead of bashing they just need a community to properly accept them so they don’t need male validation. I’m not saying being friends with cismen is always this horrible thing but being a pickme and being in a male friend group is sometimes the fucking worst
