You always mention Akihiko's behaviour in the answer, but wasn't he the one who opposed Yukari?

Yeah, he was, yet weren't they both very hostile towards everyone else during the game as well, yukari a lil more passively and akihiko more outwardly? They start off the game by avoiding everyone by overworking themselves so they wouldnt return to the dorm and be reminded of everything. They come back and are noticibly more livid about the time loop situation that is happening to them than anyone else as if they were thrown into a place they tried so hard avoiding on the daily, like an emotionally draining trap of sorts. Both of them treat aigis similarly - yukari suffers from grief induced jealousy, while akihiko in his borderline rage suggests that aigis dying isnt a big deal. And their similarities is, i think, what really fuels the whole final conflict. Yukari was really polite during the whole game, just trying to get everything done with, and with the opportunity to get makoto back she suggests that maybe finding out what happened and trying to save him this time wouldn't be bad. Akihiko in turn flips at her and instead of trying to explain why he thinks it would be a bad idea (like junpei initially starts), he fuels her determination for it and in a fit of rage due to being dogpilled she decides completely for it (even though she didnt know what that actually would mean for everyone else). They are definitely paralleles of eachother: people who learn through their sl's and their stories how to truly move on from loss. Irrationality that stems from romantic feelings is what sets them apart. And if we consider that akihiko was kinda in yukari's role (to an extent) in femc's route (by having his crush being canonically hinted at during the game), it would be interesting to see mr "wouldn't want to go back no matter what" (the same resolution yukari came to in the journey btw) get fueled by grief induced rage and want to actually stop this losing streak he had. I mean, this would have been the 3rd close tragedy to him (femc is closer to him than mc (not counting reload)) and with an overall 5 recent losses he couldnt prevent, considering how he wants to protect people around him. Anw even in p4au, him an yukari have canonically detached themselves from everyone else and dont stay in touch with them, paralleling eachother to extremes as well, but thats a WHOLE 'nother story
