You always mention Akihiko's behaviour in the answer, but wasn't he the one who opposed Yukari?
Yeah, he was, yet weren't they both very hostile towards everyone else during the game as well, yukari a lil more passively and akihiko more outwardly? They start off the game by avoiding everyone by overworking themselves so they wouldnt return to the dorm and be reminded of everything. They come back and are noticibly more livid about the time loop situation that is happening to them than anyone else as if they were thrown into a place they tried so hard avoiding on the daily, like an emotionally draining trap of sorts. Both of them treat aigis similarly - yukari suffers from grief induced jealousy, while akihiko in his borderline rage suggests that aigis dying isnt a big deal. And their similarities is, i think, what really fuels the whole final conflict. Yukari was really polite during the whole game, just trying to get everything done with, and with the opportunity to get makoto back she suggests that maybe finding out what happened and trying to save him this time wouldn't be bad. Akihiko in turn flips at her and instead of trying to explain why he thinks it would be a bad idea (like junpei initially starts), he fuels her determination for it and in a fit of rage due to being dogpilled she decides completely for it (even though she didnt know what that actually would mean for everyone else). They are definitely paralleles of eachother: people who learn through their sl's and their stories how to truly move on from loss. Irrationality that stems from romantic feelings is what sets them apart. And if we consider that akihiko was kinda in yukari's role (to an extent) in femc's route (by having his crush being canonically hinted at during the game), it would be interesting to see mr "wouldn't want to go back no matter what" (the same resolution yukari came to in the journey btw) get fueled by grief induced rage and want to actually stop this losing streak he had. I mean, this would have been the 3rd close tragedy to him (femc is closer to him than mc (not counting reload)) and with an overall 5 recent losses he couldnt prevent, considering how he wants to protect people around him. Anw even in p4au, him an yukari have canonically detached themselves from everyone else and dont stay in touch with them, paralleling eachother to extremes as well, but thats a WHOLE 'nother story
I miss Saori Hasegawa
Oomfie are you open to draw on a magma together
Thoughts on Minory Asagiri from Mobert Psychokinesis 100?
Amazing question: i like her. Both the concept of her and her as a flawed and interesting person. She was a girl who probably had a lot of things going for her well considering her status as a part of a wealthy family mixed with confidence that helped her become popular in any surrounding she would find herself in. Even though she is a classic "mean-girl" character, she has this air of disinterest in things surrounding her which also shows that whe is very much aware of the shallowness of it all, while still playing her part. What i found interesting is whenever she wasnt playing her part in a satisfying manner that mogami wanted her to, he pushed her into a more cruel version that aligns with his views which leads me to believe that she probably dealt with her own share of mental torture in the alternative reality. Which i'm sad we didnt get in the anime bc people just settle down "well she admited that she was like that in real life as well" while calling her a bitch, because they didnt read the manga (and kinda didnt pay attention to her character but shh) because it is VERY obvious that she, when mob told her to leave him alone, felt shame and fear and agreed to it but mogami wanted blood so he made her attack mob multiple times aka she had her flaws amped up and used against her by the villain, shocker. And man, her owning up to all the things she did in the mogamiland, and implied similar in the real world, is done very nicely - her trying to shove it all off shows that she is trying to keep her non-chalant emotionally distant persona up even though it lasts for mere moments. Also i do find it interesthing that her character growth leads her to trying to help mob financially from the background shhsvsb i mean wouldnt you want to be of help to someone who saved your life and told you that your mistakes dont define you even after everything? Unfortunately for her is that she was, at the end of the day, just a plot device character, but her personality is still layered. She is still just a girl in a big world, she is probably a lil weird in her private life, she doesnt truly care for the things she has but she still seeks them, she likes herself a lil power (as she is already born into it). People usually foget that characters can be liked even if in real life they wouldnt be the best people. My biggest problem is that she is there for such a short period though 😭 but it makes sense, she leads her own life and probably still feels guilt over things. Also love her hair bc purple rules 🫡
HOW OPEN ARE YOU TO THE IDEA OF OTHER MP100 CROSSOVERS
HAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
hello i am mob persona 400
Ryogis anon back again, I like to imagine that the events of P4A through some plot device cause Ryoji to take physical form again and team up with everyone to save the day, and this gives Aigis time to work out those feelings she didnt quite have enough time to deal with back in 2009
Thoughts on romance in the yakuza franchise? I'm currently still playing kiwami 2 and got to a certain scene in one of the later chapters and have been so conflicted over Kiryu and Majima having better romantic pacing in kiwami than everything being set up now 💔
I'm gonna be real frank here anon, kiryu and majima are the most consistent thing in whole of rgg/yakuza. They have been unintentionally written as basically soulmates (platonic/romantic) and man i get you those two have cocaine on them or something (especially as you go further into the series). From what i've seen, the "canon" romance asoect gets better in the rgg8 between two new characters, but i still need to play the game haha. All in all, very valid feelings altogether anon and have fun with yakuza it only gets better and better 💪💪💪
Thoughts on the naoto discourse
Ryogis anon here, I dunno I think it's Cute they're both immortal beings who are destined to fight only because their creators (Kirijo Group and Nyx) say that they have to, also they've got the same color pallette of White, Yellow and Blue
