Hiii Lily!
Just the other day I was thinking about a royalty au with lot internal homophobia. Imagine Mnho being the heir of his kingdom & is coming of age soon(I'm setting this as 20 for obvious reason) . As the only heir to the throne, he had spent his life only preparing for the day he would take the crown from his father but before that ofc there's a condition. He requires to get married within 1 year. Though for him it's another menial task & doesn't really care much. He knows he'll probably follow his parents & will probably require to choose his future wife from bunch of princesses that have good connection with his nation via multiple competitions? So imagine his surprise on seeing a man (my baby Jsngie) among them. He gets furious & confronts his father about this. And he's father is like it's only for show & building strong networks & set good image since Jsng's kingdom is one of powerful one rn under his king, Chn(Jsng's elder bro). They're one of the oddities among rest who allowed gay marriages & women to work outside their family business in their kingdom.
So, Mnho ofc can't right away sent him home & tries his best to get him disqualified. But our Jsng is very competitive (the reason he joined in first place) & pass them all lol. And Mnho starts getting more & more annoyed by himself that he finds Jsng endearing whenever he do a happy lil dance at his wins, or his whining & pouty face when he learns there doesn't have any particular desert he likes here. Most of the princesses are also kinda supportive & lowkey cheering on Jsng cause Mnho gives entirely different vibes on his presence. He's more expressive & talkative with a small smile on his face when he bickers with Jsng.
Ofc Mnho father doesn't like it & believes king should not show his inner feelings on his face or get attached to anyone. So he scold Mnho about this & Sngie witnessed it and takes Mnho stand. They have a heart to heart talk about their how do different childhood, traumas, dreams etc. They slowly starts to spend more & more time alone whenever they can & fall in love with eo hehe. Kinda (lot) cliche I know😭😭😭😭😭
god i love this... this is building so nicely in my brain like i loveee the idea of jsvng being so competitve mnho can't seem to get him away from him even if he is trying (in my head he isn't trying that hard bc he's sort of kind of already liking the vibes that jsvng brings around) ALSOOO there is nothing i love more than women being supportive during stories like this -- i'm picturing a whole scene of jsvng gossiping w the princesses and them giving him on tips on how to appear more worthy for the place next to mnho, that would just be soooo cute. I love this so much <3333 also cliche's are cliche for a reason but i don't really find this cliche at all, this is so fun and i love jsvng helping mnho start to come out of his shell through just giving him a place to kind of play around with love this!!! love it!!!!
