mnsvng au where jsng enters a cooking contest, because he lost a bet, but also falls in love with mnho in the proccess.

jsng loses a bet he had with his friends so they make him sign up for a baking show where the contestants will have one month to come up with their own dessert recipe, and then present it to the head chef (mnh) and 3 other cooks, and the tastiest one wins. jsng however, has absolutely no idea how to bake.

though he figures out that maybe being the "comedy relief" on a stupid cooking show wouldn't be that bad, and he decides he will power through. everything in his plan seems to work out, in theory.

until he meets mnh. the head chef, that will probably tear him and his cooking skills to pieces. also the most handsome and elegant man jsng's ever seen. uh oh, he's about to embarrass himself in front of this hot sexy guy. jsng thinks he's doomed.

what he doesnt know, though, is that throughout the first week, where the contestants share food they've made before, and other experiences they've had, mnho has already taken a liking to the cute, clumsy, big ego that supposedly hides his inability to cook boy. so the only thing he thinks of doing is, after the first week, asking jsng to meet him outside.

that's how he ends up proposing to jsng that if he wants, they could meet up and mnho could teach him a thing or two about cooking. as friends, of course, but no one else needs to know about their little arrangement! jsng agrees, and they start hanging out, increasingly more often , and find out that they actually fit togheter quite well :o (as friends, of course, they dont need to know about the mutual crushing developing between eachother.. hehe) mnho tells him about food, jsng tells him more about music, etc

however, as time goes on, small touches linger for longer, eye contact becomes harder, cooking sessions and hangouts become more intimate and jokes more suggestive. mnh thinks he knows what's going on, and that jsng might like him too, but finds it cute how jsng remains oblivious, probably too into his head to realize mnho's right there and already ready to give up everything for him

now they're in the last days of recording, and jsng realises he's learnt barely anything from his hangouts with mnh, always too distracted by his presence alone. so what, he may be a little in love. who can blame him?
problem is, he's now faced with ingredients and utensils, and the only thing he has is hope that his dessert will be good enough for mnho. maybe so good mnho will decide to keep him around after the show ends, even if it's just as friends!

so he tries his best, with the added pressure of feeling mnho's attention all on him, ends up with a mediocre looking pie, but hopefully it at least tastes good. mnh just smiles as he takes a bite, pretending to think , and winks at jsng before moving on, leaving jsng red in the face and everything but patient to hear his thoughts.

he ends up winning second place, due to the other cooks not being as delighted by jsngs flustered stuttering like mnh. so jsng and mnho go back to svng's place, while he rambles about how he never thought he'd even make top 3, and how he still probably doesnt know how to make anything else, and mnh simply shuts him up with a kiss that makes jsng's brain turn to mush and lose all his thoughts before kissing back.

and mnh confesses, that he might've had a little big influence on his place in the rankings, but its also because he likes him, a lot, and wants to take him out sometime, on a date. jsng looks at him and mnho swears he sees stars in his eyes before jsng leans in and kisses him again , and mnh takes it as a yes.

they become boyfriends soon enough, obviously. :-)
