hi! i just noticed in the form, in the options for the top 3 elements, there are only earth, fire, wind, and air and no water. if i wanted water, should i just choose wind instead (i think it is a typo)? thanks.

All your examples are very grandiose and epic with great quests and battles but is there a place for more down to earth myths like that of the selkie whose pelt was stolen and forced into marriage, or what about a wailing banshee?
Yes, of course! All types, including legends and folklore, are also welcome here. We're going to feature other examples: Armadillo's song, Tying Tiger, and The Hummingbird and the Carabao, to name a few on the coming weeks to give interested applicants other references for prompting. hi!!! i was wondering if there is a need to follow a certain myth depending on what section or we could choose to create our own myth as a prompt?
hi hi!! great question! since the theme of the zine is to make sad endings of myths/legends/folklore into happy ones, contributors are asked to work on existing myths. they don't have to strictly follow how the story goes, but must make sure that the important points of the myth are discussed. the 'create the myth as your own/create your own myth' is also visible by changing the ending of the myth as you write your prompt. hiii I love that the zine will have different sections but I’m a little confused. are prompts with jinmin in a romantic relationship only allowed in the water section? or is it allowed in all sections and air is just the section in which love is a big focus? I’m struggling a little because my ideas could fit into multiple sections I think 😭
hello hello!! i'm glad that you asked and you actually got it right! it's allowed that jinmin is already/will be in a romantic relationship across all sections. the important thing is that the plot will focus on the conflict assigned to each element. just make sure to know where you want your audience to focus: is it the struggles of jinmin faces as members of the society? jinmin as lovers? jinmin as gods in search for beauty? or mortal lovers jinmin and their expedition? i suggest that you first figure out what myth/story you want to use as reference and then identify what you want to make an important part of the plot. this way, you can assign the prompt to its right section. if you need more help working on your prompts, please don't hesitate to send us a dm! - Lou 🍊
