omg!!! ok so i’ve shipped them since the 4.1 archon quest when we got their cutscene and initially i just loved the complicated flavor there with wriothesley kidnapping/using lynette and freminet…. like all of that was so delicious to me and i was like Okay so enemies to lovers is what i am hearing….??
i agree with everything you’re saying!!!!! their characters are both very individually complex and i love love how they are foils of each other, both of them bred and brought up in a toxic and/or abusive system - though while one of them took it in stride due to guilt and some fucked up sense of repayment, the other murdered the masterminds and ended up in jail for it. like isn’t that crazy. and then both of them making their way to the top of the cream again lyney still in the system as arlecchino’s heir and wrio as the duke of the fortress he ended up in after forcefully leaving the system. they mirror each other exactly!!!
their personalities are soooo fun to play around with their dynamic is just genuinely so fun to explore!!!! i love BANTER if that isn’t obvious. and the flavor of banter that wrny have is so
hot and cold (haha get it) and there can be so much sexual tension there. enemies who banter and get on each other’s nerves but also cannot stay away from one another for some inexplicable reason. it would take a lot for them to actually get together and exploring that is so interesting to me considering both of their pasts and also their fucked up history regarding the events of the 4.1 aq.
also an add on i love age gap as a trope. so. also they look so good together like…. red and black red and black….

omg honestly no… like there weren’t any problems writing together it was lowkey a super seamless process i think mostly bc we weren’t really taking ourselves seriously and just having fun with it! honestly we didn’t even think anyone was gonna read it bc of the content of the fic SKCJEKDJD it was such a surprise to see so many people like it. we just had one big doc and one planning doc and we just went ham for a month together!!! i think the fact that we are such good friends def helped i don’t think i would have been able to do this with many other people i’m kind of a control freak and we both trust each other immensely when it comes to writing styles and hkvh characterization, plus the fact that we are both comfy w opposite povs helped too!!!

i came up w the plot line like in summer 2023 and i had started writing a few scenes (the very first scene of olts the haitham pov of hkvh’s first meeting was one i wrote over a year ago now) but stopped for some reason or the other. luma and i have been close friends since we met, and as our friendship anniversary approached i floated the idea of collabing on a fic together since atp we had thought about doing it a few times and had a few ideas but nothing ever rly progressed forward. but the deadline made it more concrete for sure!!! i had alr talked to luma abt the kidfic idea back in the summer so i suggested it as a possible idea and she was totally on board - i was like ok let’s gooo 30k fic and then bam. 158k. but sometimes it be like that. i think i spent about a month just planning the fic and i wrote about 30k of it while luma was finishing up her other projects, and then in march we both went ham and wrote the last ~120k together and then posted on our friendiversary!!!!! so yeah!!!

omg luma came up with it! she wrote a line in ch4 “Al-Haitham can’t wait for an entire lifetime of falling in love every single day” and i was obsessed with it as a title so i made it the title LMAOO

we were playing around w a few titles, i had been thinking of a few throughout the ch4 writing process (a lot of them were time focused like Until the end of time and It begins and ends with you and Until the sun burns out etc) but none were really clicking, we tried a few diff ones with the lifetime idea, like This lifetime and the next and This lifetime is yours to keep and i also remember going through a bunch with honey in them bc of the wedding ritual of honey dipped fingers, but i ended up liking one lifetime too short the most so i just made it our draft title and we ended up keeping it :) thank u for asking omg!!!!!!!! ♡

oooh ok so lowkey i get ideas out of random stuff like maybe there’s a specific trope i wanna write for a ship or if there’s smth from canon i wanna expand on or idk something comes to me in a dream Whatever it is i honestly just. start. i never start w an outline and rarely do i ever make one tbh i just start writing the beginning and go from there!!! i’m the type of person who will skip around my doc and write scenes out of order it just depends on whatever i wanna write at the moment!! for longer fics/more plot heavy stuff i’ll eventually make an outline just to jot down ideas for scenes and write like a general order of how i want things to progress. i usually do it in google keep and there i’ll write things like title ideas, ao3 tags, and numbered scenes in order though i don’t do this for every fic just ones that need more like attention to detail - once i finish a fic i just raw dog post it to ao3 i have never edited/read through one of my fics before posting ever in my life once it’s out there it’s out there LMAOOO umm yeah!!!!! i think that’s basically everything :^) thank u for asking!!!
