If you were ever curious about Cetus please do not hesitate to ask

If your OC got one Pokemon(or line) or Digimon(or line) as a companion, who would they pick?
Pirate, ninja, or cowboy?
Arknights OC Havers! Are there any countries that your OC has been banned from/refuses to go to?
Cetus is technically one of the Iberian Inquisition's Most Wanted. There's nothing technically preventing him from going back but his operator archives highly recommend against sending him on Iberian based operations until Kal'tsit and the logistics team can work around all the red tape surrounding his record. He's guilty of some crimes like thievery (because he was starving) and assault (getting into fights for various reasons) but there's also a fair number of crimes that were simply pinned onto him because of the disparaging view of Aegir and the desire by the Inquisition to apprehend someone related to The Great Silence - for the chance to interrogate him. Even though the Inquisition still openly has beef with him, Rhodes has afforded him protection and due to Kal's negotiations he's able to safely assist on the Stultifera Navis operation.
I've already thought of an entire team for Cetus! He has a Vaporeon that's like his main partner pokemon because it's cute and friendly and has his same tail type, but he also has a Primarina, a Gardevoir, a Malamar, a Slowking, and a Lapras. He tends to work with water/psychic type pokemon! Since I kind of imagine that if he was a pokemon himself, that would be his typing.
What happened? What did the event do to retcon deepcetus?
Technically nothing we didn't already know: as you know I've been a huge supporter of the theory that Deepcolor is a seaborn, however new information in the event presents the possibility that she may not actually be. It's nothing concrete because as usual she's irrelevant to the main plot, but as I'm someone who likes to account for canon in my fanworks, it made me less confident in this theory, so I nuked their relationship back to square 1 to avoid possibly being wrong and having to rewrite it in the future.
What's an Arknights Friend Headcanon you have?
Myrrh, Warfarin, and Gavial are all medic besties! They're all sort of weird misfits who can be intimidating/scary to their patients for varying reasons - Warfarin being a vampire, Gavial having a gruff bedside manner, and Myrrh's tribal practices and bitter medicines. They all have it rough being the medical department's Weird Girls TM but they support each other and find kinship in their differences!
This is such a fun question!
Cetus would definitely be curious about it and want to go wandering around while Rhodes is docked at the Grand Knight Territory - he actually knows next to nothing about Kazimierz and given that its a city of indulgence and appeal through commercialization, he's at least intrigued enough to go wandering about and get a sense of what it's like while they're there.
He's really curious about the major since it's such a cultural milestone for Kazimierz. He knows little of knights and the traditions that Kazimierz was built upon, has no frame of reference by which to see why some consider it a slandering of honor, he's kind of just there to enjoy the spectacle. He probably drags Deepcolor along to help expose her to more of the world and gather a better frame of reference for herself in the future, to better sell her cover story that she's a well-educated, well-traveled young Columbian lady. They have fun with it, but Deepcolor buys into the commercialism a bit easily. Even though he hates excessive spending, Cetus relents and lets her buy some stuff to mark the occasion. As a treat.
Most gender operator?
What's the ONE trait, feature, or characteristic that you REALLY love about your favorite character?
Deepcolor is most interesting to me because of how dynamic she is. She starts off knowing next to nothing about this world, a literal invader with only her innate sense of curiosity against a world that considers her true self to be a monster and would probably seek to destroy her if they understood her. Yet she still wants to understand them, she seeks growth and change and seeing her become more of a confident, self actualized person rather than one seaborn among millions makes me so proud of her.
Also monster girl good
Um sir this is a Wendy's what do you want
I love the medics! They're just really neat. They may be sort of limited in terms of gameplay but I think they're some really awesome and crucial characters for Rhodes. Gavial, Warfarin, Myrrh, Folinic, Perfumer, Kal'tsit, Shining, Nightengale, like... so much personality in these ladies! (And Ansel!)
what does deepcolor think is the most beautiful thing about cetus? physically or metaphorically? what about cetus with deep?
This is such a romantic question Chich wahh...
The first thing Deepcolor finds beautiful about Cetus is his smile. It's such a uniquely human expression of joy. Seaborn don't really smile. When they bare their teeth, it's a show of aggression. Her evolutionary history tells her that she should logically feel threatened by the gesture, but for some reason she can't fully explain, it just takes her breath away. She likes it. She draws it in her sketchbook, remembering it and wondering why it made her feel so light. Why it made her heart race. Why she yearns to see it again. And again. Why she feels proud to know she caused it. Even before he calls off his hunt, even when she knows he's a danger to her. She likes seeing him smile. She practices her own smile in the mirror some mornings, since facial expressions are a new type of ability that comes with a human body, and as she stares back at her reflection, Deepcolor wonders if Cetus likes her smile, too.
The first thing Cetus thinks when he sees Deepcolor is that she's beautiful. He can't help it - he's appreciative of aesthetics and his first impulse thought when finally seeing this mysterious Deepcolor person is that she's attractive. But of course he would - that's part of the advantage of her carefully crafted human body. Cetus dismisses the thought as quickly as he has it, because her physical beauty means nothing to him if a monster lurks underneath.
It's not until that fateful night on the beach when he's finally come to end her time at Rhodes Island, and Deepcolor mourns, weeps for the end of all she's come to know, for the futures she'll never have, for the things and faces she'll miss, does Cetus understand. She is beautiful. She's a beautiful seaborn. One that loves every moment of being alive.
He knows he can't hurt her then. Or allow anyone else to.
