And Raven would have been able to forget about it if it weren't for the moment she laid her eyes on the artist behind such canvas. The more she asked about her, the more she learnt from other operators about her, the more goosebumps she got from observing her-- she didn't even want to get close, and yet, every time they were on the same space, she also didn't want to leave her unchecked for even a second.

What was Rhodes Island's deal, exactly? At first, Raven assumed they didn't know-- she never doubted her own instincts, though she didn't /want/ to believe it either. There was only one type of beings that made her feel that way, and they all looked /very/ different in her memory, so what did that mean? Where did that leave Supporter Operator Deepcolor?

Where did that leave the monsters she knew?

--It was terrifying. Horrorizing.

The mere thought that, if what every fiber of her being told her was right, then /they/ were already able to mix in between /them/ this much. This easily.

And eventually, Kal'tsit called her to talk about it ('Ah. So they knew, after all'). To ask her to stop the Liberi's very obvious animosity, or rather, to stop said animosity and hatred from turning into actions. Raven wasn't happy about it, but she also reassured the lynx of something-- of the only thing she could:

''...I don't need the reminder. I know what happens when you kill one of them.''

aperture didn't think much of deepcolor up until recently. she did think it was very nice to have someone artistic on board, to quell some boredom in herself and other operators, but she doesnt really realize theres something deeper going on in deepcolor until she comes across her while searching for answers to her past in an abandoned church in iberia. despite arriving at the worst moment, she was glad to be able to help deepcolor and abyssal hunter cetus overcome the manipulation of a sankta who wanted to control deepcolor and seemed to know a bit too much about apertures past.

having seen the truth behind deepcolors identity as an abyssal creature, aperture doesnt think anything less of her afterwards. she admittedly doesnt know much about the hunters or their prey, but seeing the two of them in this conflict really does touch her. and she feels a mutual kind of kinship knowing about their relationship and knowing about deepcolors identity, while they know about the sankta's ties to her own past and that she caused him to turn into what he did. they leave with a mutual "i wont spill anything about you if you dont spill anything about me." kind of relationship. from there, aperture often checks up on the pair and wants to check in on deepcolors progress assimilating into terran culture; shes more than happy to allow them alone time on missions together and chatting with them over tea. although a bit offputting, she enjoys getting surprise artworks from deepcolor too. its rather cute.

as for my other oc beryl, being an aegir herself, she is very scared and apprehensive about deepcolor upon realizing her true identity. although shes not as vehemently against them as other aegir, due to her late friendship with a seaborn researcher that put the idea in her head that they may be misunderstood, and her close family like relationship to cetus, she doesnt immediately jump to the worst conclusion. although she lets initial fear take over her, she tries to be as kind and open with deepcolor as she would anyone else with cetus' asking. once she gets to know deepcolor, she thinks shes a very sweet girl, who really is misunderstood by the rest of the world. shes honored to be able to get to know her on a real level. and shes happy to see how happy she and cetus make each other. no matter what, beryl will always support them.
